Накопительный водонагреватель

To select the required water heater capacity, you need to perform simple mathematical calculations. To begin with, determine the location of water intake (bath, shower, sink), the approximate flow rate in liters and the usual temperature of use.

By multiplying the consumption by the number of people, the required volume of the heater is obtained. Using the example of a small family of two people, it looks like this.

Hot water of about 60°C is required for washing dishes and showering. The average use of water in the shower per person is 20 liters. Using the multiplication method, it turns out that the required volume is 40 liters (20×2).

For washing dishes, the average consumption is 8 liters (4×2). As a result, we get 48 liters of water with an average temperature of 60°C. Since the cylinders of water heaters are standard (from 5 to 1000), it costs 50 liters to purchase.

For a family of several people, experts recommend using several water heaters. Small containers with a volume of up to 15 liters are suitable for the kitchen, and 30-50 liters for the shower.

They are economical and easy to install, and also take up little space. For autonomous water supply in large houses, it is better to use heaters with a capacity of 500 liters or more.

Any type of water heater has its advantages and disadvantages. An instantaneous heater consumes a lot of electricity, but it is compact and heats water very quickly. The storage heater, in turn, is large and requires a lot of space for installation. But this is compensated by a large supply of water with minimal energy consumption.

The buyer also needs to know about the materials from which water heaters are usually made. They are usually made of steel coated with protective enamel, and the internal containers are made of copper. Enameled steel is renowned for its durability, non-toxicity and high temperature resistance.

A standard problem when using household appliances of this type is limescale or scale. To protect against scale, it is recommended to purify the water and reduce its hardness. If it is not possible to use special filters, then you can simply periodically clean the heating element units.

Heaters with a small volume of water are mounted directly under the sink, and there is no need to worry about dripping during use. Particular attention should be paid to the safety of electrical devices. According to the generally accepted protection class, they are designated as IP with two corresponding numbers.

When buying a water heater, these values are analyzed. The first number always indicates protection against foreign bodies, and the second – protection against water. When buying a heater, first of all, you need to determine the required volumes of water use.

Based on this, you can already select the power of the device. And the final criterion is the location of its installation. Thus, the necessary model will not become a piece of furniture, but a useful device in everyday life.
